AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 21-year-old man accused of fatally shooting 17-year-old Michael Carothers Jr. in an October 2021 gunfight in downtown Austin was convicted of murder and deadly conduct, according to the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
The attorney’s office said Vicente Reveles, 21, was found guilty on Dec. 12. He was sentenced to 30 years for murder, a first-degree felony, and 10 years for deadly conduct, a third-degree felony.

According to the DA’s office, Reveles was arrested and charged with aggravated assault discharge of a firearm on Feb. 23, 2022, by the Austin Police Department for shooting Carothers Jr. on Oct. 9, 2021. He was indicted for the crime on March 30, 2023, the office said…
