Beloved Asian supermarket chain H Mart is still advancing work on its latest location to grace the Lone Star State.
Currently, Texas is home to seven H Mart supermarkets within the Austin, Dallas and Houston metros, with the Texas capital on track to open its second storefront off Burnet Road — one that’s been years in the making. H Mart first registered its outpost at 5222 Burnet Rd, Unit 600Austin, TX 78756 in August 2023, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. At the time, the 23,125-square-foot project had an estimated $4 million sticker price and a tentative October 2024 construction completion date.
