Protesters in Austin rally against US strikes in Venezuela

Demonstrations erupted across the nation, including a significant gathering outside Austin City Hall Sunday, as protesters voiced their opposition to recent U.S. military strikes in Venezuela. The so-called “No War on Venezuela” protest, organized by a coalition of grassroots organizations, saw participants holding signs reading “No Blood for Oil” and “U.S. Out of the Caribbean.”

“The meaning of this protest is that the people of the United States reject war with Venezuela. We reject the lies of the ruling class of this government that try to tell us that Venezuela is full of narco-terrorists and they’re bringing their drugs,” said Scarleth Lopez with the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
