Killer Burger Crashes North Austin With East Village Outpost

Portland-born chain Killer Burger, already staking out territory in San Antonio, is now lining up its first Austin outpost at the East Village retail center on East Parmer Lane. Construction is expected to kick off this winter, with the company targeting a summer debut for the new spot.

According to MySA, the Austin restaurant is planned for 3500 E. Parmer Lane, Suites 12130 and 12135. A project filing registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Wednesday shows work slated to begin in February and wrap up by July. The filing describes an interior tenant build-out of nearly 3,000 square feet and pegs the suite renovations and alterations at about $300,000.

Killer Burger’s Texas Push

The brand made its Texas debut on the far west side of San Antonio in October 2024 and added a Brooks City Base unit in 2025 as part of a deliberate southern expansion. In a press release via GlobeNewswire, founder TJ Southard called Texas “a launchpad for expansion in the South and Midwest” and confirmed that he had signed a lease for an Austin site.

What To Expect On The Menu

Killer Burger leans into playful, heavily topped burgers offered in three sizes: pint, original and double. Signature builds include the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon and the “Jose Mendoza,” which stacks roasted green chiles, Monterey Jack and bacon. Rounding out the menu are chicken sandwiches, tenders, meatless patties and the chain’s proprietary “Bomb It” sauce, according to Killer Burger’s website.

East Village Is Filling In

The East Village development at 3500 E. Parmer Lane has been steadily filling its retail lineup with national and regional names, making it a logical landing spot for a fast-casual recruit. The development’s tenant updates cite concepts such as Kilwins and Potbelly among others, positioning the center as a growing food hub for North Austin, per EastVillage ATX.
