If you live in Central Texas, you probably woke up to a blanket of ice or snow covering Austin and the surrounding Texas Hill Country cities.
While the National Weather Service (NWS) has indicated most precipitation from the winter storm has left the area, officials in the Capital City are warning residents that “conditions may worsen” as today, Sunday, January 25, goes on. The City of Austin said in a release that crews continue to clear roadways by using deicer. While Austin Energy has yet to experience major power outages on Sunday, that doesn’t mean they’re not possible.
