AUSTIN, Texas — Plumber calls and calls to Austin Water are up this week after the winter storm from the weekend has blown over. Homeowners in Austin are grappling with plumbing issues following this storm.
Jack Crow of Crows Plumbing Service noted, “We’ve gotten a little busy. Things picked up quite a bit because of the freeze.” Crow explained that exterior pipes and hose connections are particularly vulnerable to freezing, leading to damage.
Stephanie Sue, Austin Water operations manager, said, “As temperatures have started to rise, we are seeing an increase in customer calls, mostly related to issues within their property.”…
