CapMetro bus driver arrested after allegedly dragging man with doors shut on arm

AUSTIN, Texas — A CapMetro driver was arrested after he reportedly shut the doors of a bus on a man’s arm before dragging him along a road in southeast Austin in October.

Court documents allege that on Sunday, Oct. 12, at around 7 p.m., police responded to a report of a crash involving a subject who had bee dragged by a CapMetro bus near 1940 S. Pleasant Valley Rd.

At the scene, the victim told police that he was getting on the bus when the operator, identified as 42-year-old Darence Gregory Harrison, closed the doors on his left arm and began to drive away from the bus stop…
