APD assists after chase involving ICE in North Loop

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said officers responded to a crash into someone’s yard after a chase involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Central Austin Monday.

A video shared with KXAN by a North Loop resident showed about five Austin Police officers, as well as several unidentified officers wearing face masks and vests that said “POLICE” across the front and back, gathered near North Loop and Lamar Boulevard. In the video, it appears that a car drove into a yard at that intersection.
