Pasta | Bar Will Be Replaced By a New Scratch Restaurants Concept

Scratch Restaurants, the hospitality group from Chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee, is planning to close its fine dining restaurant Pasta | Bar at the end of this month, the Austin American-Statesman has reported.

“The tiny tasting menu restaurant on East Sixth Street is one of Austin’s biggest-ticket dinners, with prix fixe meals starting at $235 and guests treated to a comprehensive experience, with pre-dinner and post-dinner drinks that bookend dinner in separate spaces,” the American-Statesman coverage says.

However, as it turns out, Scratch Restaurants isn’t finished with the space. The hospitality group, which is also behind restaurants like Sushi by Scratch, Not a Damn Chance Burger, and Shokunin, is planning to replace Pasta | Bar with something new, something that will “focus on what matters most: bringing outstanding food, genuine hospitality and new memories to our community here in Austin.”…
