A former safety supervisor at Gigafactory Texas says he suffered a traumatic brain injury after roughly 150 pounds of unsecured Cybertruck parts fell from a passing transport cart, according to a recently filed lawsuit.
Craig Thompson, a third-party safety supervisor for TKS Industrial Company, was walking to meet a supervisor on Feb. 5, 2024, when he saw a tugger operator approaching with three large boxes of Cybertruck parts. Thompson reportedly signaled for the operator, who was believed to be wearing AirPods or another personal listening device at the time, to slow down after noticing the boxes were unstrapped and appeared to be shifting and unstable. He then began shouting but received no response, the lawsuit states.
As the tugger passed Thompson, the boxes fell and struck him. In addition to a brain injury, Thompson allegedly sustained a torn rotator cuff, cervical and lumbar spine injuries, and bilateral knee injuries…
