AUSTIN, Texas — Austin firefighters recently responded to a vehicle fire in South Austin, preventing what officials say could have become a much more dangerous situation.
According to the Austin Firefighters Association, crews made “quick work” of the blaze earlier this week. Vehicle fires can pose serious risks to civilians, including rapid flame spread, toxic smoke, exploding components and exposure to nearby structures or vehicles.
