AISD parent files formal complaint against district for violating Texas ‘bathroom bill’

AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin ISD parent has filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General alleging a high school violated the Texas Women’s Privacy Act.

The complaint alleges that a biologically male student has been using female restrooms and private spaces at Austin High School, and that the issue had not been resolved after the parent notified the school on Jan. 15.
