Texas’ most populous counties see higher numbers of early voters

AUSTIN (Nexstar) — In the first few days since early voting started, the most populous counties in Texas are seeing a higher turnout than the past two primaries.

In the most populous, Harris County, there were 45,724 votes cast in the first two days. That is a 35.5% increase from the first couple of days in 2024 and a 73% increase from 2022. Travis County has seen an even greater uptick this election cycle.

In the first two days of early voting, county data shows 22,314 people casted votes. That is a 196% increase from 2022 and a 116% increase from 2024…
