Humid, warm workweek, rain chances start mid-week

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The weekend was warm, with highs 15 to 20 degrees warmer than normal with morning clouds leading to afternoon sun.

Tonight, temperatures will cool to the 50s and 60s with increasing clouds. Southerly winds will be breezy, gusting up to 20+ mph at times.

Tomorrow, high temperatures are forecast to return to the 80s with partly sunny skies. Winds will continue to remain breezy.

Pattern Change

High temperatures will remain above-normal with increasing humidity. Several rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, starting around mid-week through next weekend.

A few storms may be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center highlighted parts of Central Texas and North Texas for possible severe weather.
