‘Breath of fresh air’: TV personality makes jump to Austin station KXAN

When one chapter ends, another begins. And for one Texas TV reporter, the next part of her journey has just begun in Austin, a city she calls “a breath of fresh air.”

Former KXXV reporter Madison Myers just made the jump from Waco to KXAN in the Capital City. Since starting as a multimedia journalist in February, Myers has covered Hays County, the growing I-35 corridor and cities like Buda, Kyle and San Marcos. She told MySA that while she was grateful for two years in Waco, she was ready to take on what comes next.

“Sometimes people see Waco as kind of just in the middle part of Central Texas, between Dallas and Austin, but that area really is growing so much,” she said. “Obviously, there’s Baylor, there’s Magnolia, the silos. So there was always news coming out of that part of Central Texas and lots of great stories and people, and so I was able to learn so, so so much there.”…
