Austin police chief makes arrest at Central Library, man accused of stomping victim’s head

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis arrested a man at the Central Library on Wednesday after he allegedly stomped on a person’s head repeatedly, leaving them with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred at 11:47 a.m. the library at 710 W. Cesar Chavez Street. Davis was at the library for a community meeting at the time.
