Woman robbed at N Austin ATM, police searching for suspect

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a woman in front of her young child at an ATM earlier this month.

The incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday in front of 5775 Airport Blvd., according to the Austin Police Department.

Police say the victim was using an ATM when a man approached her. He reportedly asked for money to buy drugs. When she refused, the suspect grabbed her purse.
