Austin, Texas – Central Texas residents could experience a dramatic temperature swing within 24 hours as near-record warmth Sunday gives way to a sharp cold front that may drop some areas close to freezing by early Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio, afternoon highs Sunday will surge into the upper 80s and low 90s, including around 93°F in Austin and near 90°F in San Antonio.
