Travelers going through security this morning at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) were in for a wait just to get inside.
The airport posted footage on X showing the general security line for its Checkpoint 1 stretching out of the building, well past the sidewalk out front and into a walking path at 4:30 a.m. local time on March 16. The video pans past flyers with backpacks and rolling suitcases, alternately inching forward and standing still under a dark sky as they make their way to the indoor screening area.
