Near-record high temperatures, minimal rain chances

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Camp Mabry hit 93° this afternoon, which is a new daily record-high temperatures. Pollen levels have been tremendously high today.

Tonight, temperatures will cool to the 50s and 60s with a mostly clear sky.

Heat

Tomorrow, high temperatures are forecast to climb back into the 90s with abundant sunshine. The current record-high (3/22) is 96°.

Wildfire Risk

Critical fire weather conditions are expected on Sunday, with dry air and gusty winds (25+ mph). Texas A&M Forest Service has issued an ‘extreme’ wildfire risk for parts of Central Texas.

A weak cold front moves into Central Texas on Monday, with increasing clouds and “some” humidity. High temperatures will slightly cool to the upper 80s and low 90s through mid-week.

Another weak front is forecast to move into Central Texas next weekend, with a limited rain chances through next weekend…
