AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police said officers are investigating a homicide Sunday night after a man died in east Austin.

Officers responded to a “shoot/stab hot shot call” around 5:07 p.m. near the 4700 block of Loyola Lane, near Manor Road and U.S. 183. APD said a witness heard “some shots” and called police.
Austin Police said first responders arrived at the scene and found a man in his 40s with injuries. The man was declared dead at 5:28 p.m.
Austin Police said the incident did not happen inside any of the businesses in the area.
