Downtown Austin development approved, but Judges Hill neighbors raise height concerns

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new development is coming to downtown Austin after city leaders approved plans for two high-rise buildings along West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The project will include apartments, condominiums, a hotel and retail space, according to Rundog Real Estate CEO Justin Poses.

While city leaders say the development fits Austin’s future vision, some residents in the nearby Judges Hill neighborhood worry the tall towers will change the character of their historic area.
