TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — A Travis County grand jury has cleared four Austin police officers who shot at an 18-year-old suspect during a May 2025 pursuit, according to the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
The grand jury declined to indict Officers Joseph Duesler, Kai Finch, Martin Vela and Vincent Nguyen following a review of the May 31, 2025, shooting of Devin Guevara. The grand jury concluded its review March 5.
