HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — It has been one year since more than 40 people, including minors, were taken into custody during a large law enforcement raid in Hays County near Dripping Springs after authorities said those present could be affiliated with the Venezuelan transnational gang Tren de Aragua (TdA).
At the time, the FBI said it had recently obtained information about a “possible gathering of suspected TdA members or TdA associates” in Hays County. The raid occurred during what attendees said was a birthday celebration among Venezuelan relatives and friends.
