Hounds Town USA, the fully interactive dog daycare, boarding, and pet spa franchise, is landing its paws in Anderson Mill, Texas. Nicely situated outside North Austin at 10700 Anderson Mill Road, Hounds Town Anderson Mill opened on March 14, offering an inclusive, non-breed discriminatory pet care facility allowing dogs to be dogs.
Jim Thompson owns and operates the Hounds Town location, bringing more than 34 years of retail leadership experience. His background includes executive roles at Golfsmith International and Performance Bicycle, as well as serving as Vice President of North America Consumer and Small Business Direct at Dell and Chief Revenue Officer of Chewy. His son, Jake Thompson, will serve as General Manager, with Jim and his wife, Heidi, involved during the opening months. Their son, Elliott, and Heidi’s sister, Kari, will also support operations, alongside a locally hired team.
In addition to offering interactive daycare, overnight boarding, and spa services, Hounds Town Anderson Mill also features the brand’s signature “Hounds Town Seal of Approval” program, which gives local shelter dogs access to free daycare and socialization to improve their adoptability.
