AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Transportation, or TxDOT, will again close flyovers connecting US Highway 290 and Interstate 35 for “bridge joint repair” on Tuesday night.
TxDOT crews will close the following starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday:
- Westbound US 290 East to southbound I-35 flyover
- Southbound I-35 to eastbound US 290 East flyover
- Northbound I-35 to eastbound US 290 East flyover for repairs
TxDOT expects all flyovers to reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
TxDOT said it plans to repair bridge joints, which allow for natural movement on roads and bridges when the temperature changes.
The closures planned for Tuesday night follow similar closures in the same area a month ago, for the same type of repairs.
