PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Recent rainfall in Central Texas has raised hopes in Pflugerville that Lake Pflugerville could soon rebound enough to reopen as the city works through an ongoing drought and strict water restrictions.
Residents who frequent the lake said it has been difficult living under Level 3 drought restrictions and not having access to the lake. The city’s target is for the lake to reach an elevation of 633 feet, a threshold officials have said would allow the lake to reopen and drought restrictions to drop from Level 3 to Level 1. Level 3 restrictions have prohibited outdoor water use.
