Austin motorcyclist dies after veering into oncoming traffic on US 79, Texas DPS reports

MILAM COUNTY, Texas — A 34-year-old Austin man died Thursday after his motorcycle crossed into oncoming traffic on US Highway 79 and collided with a passenger car, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Michael Tyler Morton was traveling on his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on US 79 near County Road 334 when authorities say the vehicle veered into the eastbound lane and struck a 2013 Ford Taurus.

Morton was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been notified…
