Update, May 20 at 9:11 a.m: There are now 30 active outages, leaving 391 customers in the Austin area without power, per Austin Energy’s outage map.
Update, May 20 at 8:33 a.m.: In a notice posted on the power outage map, Austin Energy said, “Crews worked through the night and continue to restore power throughout the service area following last night’s severe weather. All available crews are in service, repairing damaged equipment from lightning and high winds. Austin Energy will continue to work until all outages are restored. Thank you for your patience.”There are currently 33 active power outages in the Austin area affecting 3,594 Austin Energy customers.
