AUSTIN (KXAN) — During a storm that rolled through Austin Tuesday night, a tree fell and seriously injured someone on the patio of a restaurant in south Austin, first responders confirmed.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, a call came in around 9:20 p.m. at Green Mesquite BBQ. EMS says one person was trapped underneath a tree and “suffered critical injuries.”
The Austin Fire Department said they received a call around the same time for a man trapped under a tree at the BBQ restaurant.
“He was transported to an area hospital by ATCEMS; firefighters from Engine 11 rode in the ambulance with the patient,” fire said. APD confirmed they were also called to the scene…
