BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Looking at life in prison, convicted rapist Vincent DeLeon planned to escape with help from his cellmate and sister, according to a newly released court filing.
Transported to Kern Medical May 20 for a scheduled appointment, DeLeon knocked down and pepper-sprayed a deputy, then ran from the hospital and hid in a nearby neighborhood, according to a probable cause declaration.
