BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — If you’ve ever played a competitive sport before, then you already know that winning is hard. It’s even harder trying to win when starting from the ground up.
That is, unless, you’re the girls with the Torch Volleyball club, who have not one, not two, but three teams preparing to compete for nationals in June in the club’s first year of existence.
For owner and club director Katie Gardenhire, it’s not her first rodeo. She’s directed clubs before, but Torch was a new venture.
