Law enforcement to conduct DUI saturation patrol in Kern County, Bakersfield area

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Officials said law enforcement will be extra vigilant on Saturday as part of a DUI patrol operation throughout the county.

The California Highway Patrol said its officers along with the Bakersfield Police Department will conduct a joint operation aimed at reducing DUI-related crashes in Kern County on May 30.

CHP said it is conducting its Rapid Arrest of Intoxicated Drivers — or RAID — operation with DUI Saturation Patrol Task Forces. In a release, officials said the purpose of Saturday’s operation is meant to “proactively remove impaired drivers from the road” and “identify contributing factors to DUI-related crashes.”
