BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A driver died Tuesday evening after getting rear-ended and crashing into another vehicle on 7th Standard Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 4:08 p.m. June 2, the CHP Bakersfield Communications Center received calls about a crash on 7th Standard Road at Poplar Avenue.

According to preliminary investigation, the driver of a Honda Civic stopped on eastbound 7th Standard Road while waiting for the westbound traffic to clear to make a left turn onto Poplar Avenue.
