Brush fire continues to force closure on Highway 41 towards Central Coast

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A stretch of Highway 41 remains closed on a stretch of Highway 41 going towards the Central Coast.

Video taken on Friday, taken by a driver who was detoured around the closure shows the smoke from an 80-acre brush fire, which is continuing to burn near the Kings County-Kern County line.

The fire broke out on Thursday morning.

Highway 41 is closed between Highway 33 and Highway 46. Drivers are being advised to use an alternate route.
