Coroner ID’s man who died in hospice after shooting in central Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man who died in hospice nearly a month after being shot in central Bakersfield.

Coroner officials said Isaac Garcia, 36, of Bakersfield was shot on June 30 in the 1700 block of Forrest Street and died at the Hoffman Hospice Facility on July 28.

The Bakersfield Police Department identified the suspect as Christian Villasenor, 43, of Lancaster. Villasenor was arrested by detectives with the Bakersfield Police Department in the Las Vegas area on July 1…
