BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s help in identifying a suspect who was allegedly involved in a theft.

Investigators said the suspect removed and fled with a portion of the Mechanics Bank sign, located at 5151 Stockdale Highway on Friday, July 24.
BPD described the suspect as a woman in her 40s with a thin build. They said she was wearing a red Bulls jersey and a white cover shirt the time of the theft. Law enforcement believes the suspect is transient.
