Parts of Kern River Parkway bike path to close on Aug. 10 for maintenance

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A multi-use trail in Bakersfield will close temporarily starting next week.

Officials with the City of Bakersfield announced that the multi-use trail along the Kern River Parkway will temporarily close on Monday, Aug. 10 for maintenance work by a third-party contractor.

The closure will be in place on the bike path starting at China Grade Loop, north of Alfred Harrell Highway and will stretch about two and a half miles down to Manor Street.
