The county of Kern should stop wasting taxpayer money on its ill-advised lawsuit against the city of Bakersfield and focus on public safety.
The recent Community Voices by the chairman of the Board of Supervisors has one correct line of thinking in it. Lawsuits are a waste of taxpayer money.
The statement that nearly half of the sewer rate increase goes toward future expansion is not factually correct. Not even close. If the county has trouble doing the math, as chairman of the Water Board and a registered civil engineer, I would be happy to sit down with them and explain the numbers…
