BAKERSFIELD. Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is warning the community not to share personal information with two individuals.
Police said the two individuals — Gianfranco Lopez Butron, 29, and Jean Pierre Jara Lopez, 33 — have recently been seen at several vehicle collisions in the area, interviewing the parties involved for personal identifying information, which BPD said is “supposedly for insurance purposes.”

Law enforcement said that when the two men were approached by authorizes, both fled the scenes.
BPD said as of now, their purpose for collecting personal information isn’t known and that the incidents are under investigation.
“Due to concerns regarding the potential misuse of personal information, community members are encouraged to use caution and avoid providing identifying or insurance information to unauthorized individuals,” BPD said…
