Delano PD: Shooting suspect surrenders, faces attempted murder charge

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 30-year-old man surrendered and was booked on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting a 45-year-old man at a home in Delano Sunday afternoon.

The Delano Police Department said on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at around 12:40 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of 22nd Avenue regarding a 911 hang-up call.

When officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and is currently in “stable” condition…
