BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bakersfield police arrested a Duarte man accused of arranging to meet a 16-year-old child after contacting the teen through Monkey, a random video chat service, and Snapchat, with Flock Safety cameras helping identify his vehicle.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, detectives with the department’s Special Victims Unit (SVUI) arrested 49-year-old Romulus Chan Reynera, also known as “Romeo,” of Duarte, following an investigation involving online contact with a 16-year-old juvenile.
