BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A person with measles was confirmed to have traveled though Kern County, according to the California Department of Public Health.
The department said this person traveled by trains and thruway buses with transfers in at least six California counties, including Alameda, Butte, Kern, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Joaquin.

State health officials said the visitor arrived in California on Sept. 10 via Amtrak train in Los Angeles. Officials said the person then traveled to Bakersfield on Sept. 12 on train 5717 arriving at the Amtrak station on Truxtun Avenue at 1:45 p.m.
