Lottery winner who shared jackpot was run over by girlfriend after confronting her for stealing even more, prosecutors say

An Oregon woman has been accused of running over her boyfriend with her car — but she claims he tried to kill her first.

Mary Ann McKinzy, 55, was extradited to Multnomah County on Sept. 18 after being arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Bakersfield, California, the Portland Police Bureau said. McKinzy was charged with second-degree murder, assault and negligent homicide in connection with the death of 75-year-old James S. Miller. According to reporting by The Oregonian, prosecutors said in court documents that McKinzy and Miller were in a relationship at the time Miller won $3,200 playing the lottery.

According to the court documents, Miller shared $1,700 of his $3,200 prize with McKinzy. However, she stole another $800 from him, according to court documents, which prompted Miller to “get a couple of his boys together” to find McKinzy and get his money back…
