BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Thursday night argument inside Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield ended with a woman spraying something near the Lush store, sending people running and coughing, according to video obtained by Eyewitness News.
The video, which was posted on Instagram and TikTok, shows shoppers fleeing as others cough. Police said those involved left before officers arrived and that they found no one who wanted police action.
Fire officials were asked what was sprayed and whether anyone needed treatment, but that information was not immediately available.
The incident comes two weeks after a separate case near the mall’s Target in which a 20-year-old man was killed. His mother, Aldennisha Andrea Rowel, spoke after the stabbing, saying, “And he was murdered, you know? It’s crazy.”…
