BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 19-year-old man who’s charged with murder and eligible for the death penalty in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy won’t have a preliminary hearing until January, as his attorney searches for another lawyer to assist him with the case.
Defense attorney David A. Torres told a Superior Court judge on Tuesday he’s working on getting a second attorney to help him defend Joshua Camarena, who was 18 when charged in the shooting death of Jacob Jesus Hernandez.
