100 percent of the proceeds stay here in Kern County.

“Every single cent that’s generated for profit here in this thrift store stays here in Kern County,” Hope the Mission President Rowan Vansleve, told 17 News. “It’s going to help fund the work of Hope the Mission as we get ready to open the tiny homes for the homeless in Oildale in partnership with Kern County.”

Hope the Mission operates over 30 facilities including thrift stores, tiny home villages and shelters across the state, focused on a ‘housing first’ model, aimed to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness through immediate assistance and long-term solutions.
