California considers nation’s first speed governor mandate, approval doubtful

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Senate Bill 961 aims to prevent the amount of fatal motor vehicle crashes by requiring speed governors, a technology that would limit vehicles from driving 10 miles above the legal limit. If passed, California would be the first state to enact such a standard, but Kern County legal firms are skeptical.
