BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A bicyclist sustained major injuries after colliding with a semi-truck in south Bakersfield on Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol Incident Page.
CHP said the bicyclist and semi-truck collided around noon on S. Martin Luther King Boulevard south of Belle Terrace.
The bicyclist was transported to Kern Medical, according to CHP.

Officer Tomas Martinez told 17 News the truck driver most likely did not feel they hit someone, so they didn’t stop immediately. The truck driver was later contacted near Fairfax Road, where they stopped.
