TITTL SHOWCASE: Keene Cafe

Located about halfway between Mojave and Bakersfield, the Keene Cafe offers a side of history with its home-style potatoes. Less than a half-mile from the Cesar E. Chavez National Monument Center at La Paz and the United Farm Workers headquarters, the cafe opened in 1920 and was later turned into a boardinghouse for miners.
